Our admission-based program is specifically designed to challenge dancers with a strong passion for pursuing dance as a career. The intensive curriculum includes a comprehensive range of classes such as Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Fleet Conditioning and so much more!

Special Guest Artist

TAMISHA A. GUY, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, began her formal dance training at Ballet Tech, under the direction of Eliot Feld. Later she attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, and SUNY Purchase College as a double major in dance and arts management.

She has completed summer programs with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Nathan Trice and Springboard Danse Montreal. She has performed works by William Forsythe, Bebe Miller, Doug Varone, Merce Cunningham, Pam Tanowitz and Mark Morris. In 2013 Guy graduated with honors from SUNY Purchase College and joined the Martha Graham Dance Company shortly after.

In 2016 Guy was selected as one of Dance Magazine's Top 25 to Watch and she also received the 2016 Princess Grace Award. She was featured in the segment "Spotlight on Success" in Dance Informa Magazine as well as the Caribbean Life newspaper, where she discussed her upbringing and the distinguished Princess Grace Award. In 2017, she was named one of the Best Dancer's of the Year by Dance Europe.

Guy has been fortunate to teach masterclasses in Hawaii, London, Berlin, Haiti, Colombia, Minneapolis, Arizona, Dallas etc. Tamisha currently dances with A.I.M by Kyle Abraham, which she joined in 2014.

AMANDA SMITH, born in Orange County, California, Amanda began dancing at the age of 3 with ballet, tap, jazz, & hip hop at California Dance Academy. By 12, she was taken under the wing of Charis Moses where she began seriously training in classical and contemporary ballet at Moses’ studio in Yorba Linda, CA. Amanda then continued her training at Anaheim Ballet under the guidance of Larry and Sarma Rosenberg. There she trained rigorously, performed and was apart of the Anaheim International Dance Festival, dancing alongside Clifton Brown, Maria Kotchekova and Misty Copeland. Ms. Smith then moved to New York to study at SUNY Purchase where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Amanda performed works there by George Balanchine, Helen Pickett and Nicolo Fonte, she also had the opportunity to study abroad with the Dance New York International Dance Festival in Madrid and Burgos, Spain.

In 2012, Amanda was hired by Jean Pierre Bonnefoux and Patricia McBride to be a part of the 2nd company of Charlotte Ballet and a year later was promoted to 1st company. While at Charlotte Ballet Ms. Smith danced roles such as Cupid from Paquita, coached by Glenda Lucena, Western Symphony: Third Movement, coached by Patricia McBride, and excerpts from Chants by Alonzo King. While at Charlotte Ballet she also worked with and/or performed choreography by Jean Pierre Bonnefoux, Dwight Rhoden, & more. In 2015, Amanda moved to NYC and freelanced. In January of 2016 she began working with New York Theatre Ballet under the direction of Diana Byer. While with NYTB she danced works by Jerome Robbins, Antony Tudor, Antonia Franceschi & more.

She taught, & participated in outside projects including dancing for Jeremy McQueen for The Black Iris Project and choreographer; William Isaac. She was also featured in a national campaign for GAP. Ms. Smith was hired by Virginia Johnson to join the Dance Theatre of Harlem in July 2017 and has been featured on the cover of April’s issue of Dance Magazine 2019 and did a big ad for Supreme NYC. While at DTH, Amanda danced principal roles in many ballets such as Allegro Brilliante, Pas de Dix, Blake Works IV & more. She’s worked with or done works by Arthur Mitchell, Alonzo King, Carmen De Lavalade, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Claudia Shrierer, Robert Garland, George Balanchine, Amy Hall Garner, Kyra Nichols, Christopher Wheeldon, William Forsythe, Jerome Robbins, William Isaac, Nicolo Fonte & more. Smith has recently moved on from DTH and as of August 2024 Amanda is now an official company member of Alonzo King Lines Ballet. 

LENAI ALEXIS WILKERSON hails from Washington, D.C. where she attended the Baltimore School for the Arts, under the direction of Norma Pera. Lenai graduated from the inaugural class at University of Southern California as a Glorya Kaufman scholar with a BFA in Dance and aminor in Political Science. Upon graduation, Lenai became a company artist with Ballet Hispánico, where she toured internationally for three seasons. For the last two seasons, she was a corps de ballet dancer with Cincinnati Ballet, expanding her community engagement in organizations such as Black Art Speaks. Wilkerson has performed works by choreographers including George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Martha Graham, Barak Marshall, Azure Barton, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, d.Sabela Grimes, and Dwight Rhoden. Additionally, she has assisted Patrick Corbin in setting a Paul Taylor work for Miami City Ballet.

She has trained seasonally with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Bolshoi Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Jacob’s Pillow and with legendary ballerina Suzanne Farrell. Wilkerson was awarded the JarriTODOS dance artist grant in 2022, was a YAGP Top 12finalist and was one of the seven 2016-17 dance scholars to be awarded a scholarship from Nigel Lythgoe’s Dizzy Feet Foundation. With aspirations to achieve more in life, she currently is in graduate school at The George Washington University to receive her Master’s of Arts degreein Organizational Leadership. Wilkerson is elated to have joined Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre this past fall. Through Terminus, Lenai became a mentor to young black and brown dancers in ballet through the Catalyst scholarship program with Dance Canvas. She is currently undergoing her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from George Washington University.

Christopher Hernandez is a Miami native who has had an extensive career in the concert dance, commercial dance, and theatre industries. A proud alum of the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance, Christopher has danced with companies such as Kidd Pivot and Ballet Hispánico. He has performed on Broadway in New York City and on stages around the world. He was a featured dancer in films and television shows such as In The Heights, Tick, Tick... Boom!, American Horror Story, Up Here, NBC’s Annie Live, and many more.

As a choreographer, Christopher’s work can be seen in an upcoming episode of The Morning Show, as well as in Kiss of The Spider Woman, starring J.Lo, both set to premiere early next year. He also choreographed for Doja Cat’s Coachella performance and for Christmas with You on Netflix, among other projects.

Whether touring with Doja Cat, dancing at the VMAs, or working alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda in the studio, Chris has a wealth of knowledge and experience that he is excited to bring to Fleet Dance Coaching's winter intensive.

BILLY J HAWKAINS III is a dedicated dance artist and educator whose work explores the deep connections between physical movement, mental insight, and spiritual transformation. A Lecturer of Dance at Kennesaw State University and a full-time contemporary instructor at the Dance and Music Academy in Woodstock, GA, Hawkains brings an innovative approach to his teaching. His background includes serving as Dance ATL’s first community engagement coordinator, Atlanta Dance Connection's company instructor, and Dance Canvas's artistic advisor, and much more! His educational journey began with a BFA in Dance Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, followed by an MFA in Dance Choreography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. There, his encounter with BJ Sullivan’s Safety Release Technique profoundly shaped his artistic vision, teaching practice, and understanding of movement as a holistic, liberating practice.

Hawkains's classes emphasize release and the potential for transformation through vulnerability, risk-taking, and a deep commitment to authenticity. As the founder and director of The Third Collective, he creates work that challenges norms, receiving critical acclaim from outlets like WABE Radio, Bold Journey Magazine, ArtsATL, and VoyageATL for his evocative choreography and introspective approach to art.

Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Craig discovered his love and natural abilities to excel in the performing arts. After participating and being a leader at his high school’s dance, theater, and music departments he carried out his passions in multiple college clubs as well. Following school, he moved to Washington DC where he took on more leadership roles, choreographing for the multiple community dance companies he was a member of, including Culture Shock DC and Joy of Motion’s DCypher. 

He then took his talents to Los Angeles, CA (where he currently resides) gaining more knowledge and experience in the entertainment industry as a performer first, dancing in multiple television shows, commercials, and live stage performances for artist like Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean. These experiences transitioned him back into choreography, working as an assistant to Jemel McWilliams for numerous artist such as LizzoJohn LegendJanelle Monae, and Jon Batiste; including tours, a Las Vegas residency, and multiple award show performances. 

Today, Craig has taken on multiple projects on his own as Head Choreographer. These works include contributing choreography for Mariah Carey, a U.S. and European tour for up & coming artists Channel Tres and Rico Nasty, televised performance for Kaytranada, a number of music videos for D Smoke and new artist TeaMarrr, multiple Coachella sets, and advertising work for Pocky Sticks. Along with continuing work in the music industry, Craig is now transitioning into more work within the film & television world as well, recently choreographing on an episode of Season 3’s Bel-Air
